The Uruguayan is primarily a central defender, but he has impressed as a right-back for the Reds thus far.

Frimpong has failed to adapt to the higher intensity of the Premier League and could be on his way out next year. Kounde has been identified as a potential target for manager Andoni Iraola, and an approach could be made.
