Although he couldn’t have done much about Leeds’ second goal, he probably could have saved the penalty given how close it was to him and he went the right way.Conor Bradley: 7 – Played very high up the pitch and used his energy to good effect, with this helping him get an assist for Liverpool’s second goal. Liverpool were certainly better when he was on the pitch, so he now needs to stay fit.Ibrahima Konate: 4 – Had a very reassuring first half, but in typical Konate fashion, he made a big error in the second half by giving away a careless penalty.

Second half, Liverpool got overrun in the middle of the park, but he worked hard and did just enough.Curtis Jones: 7 – Brought a lot more energy to the midfield than Alexis Mac Allister had in previous weeks and was unlucky not to open the scoring after his excellent curling effort came back off the bar. Florian Wirtz: 5 – Worked hard and showed some good moments, but just didn’t get on the ball as much as he should.

He did manage to test the goalkeeper in the second half, but was very quiet, so it is no wonder Liverpool fans are wondering why he keeps starting.Hugo Ekitike: 9 – Other than being clattered by the goalkeeper, he was unable to make an impact in the first half, but he certainly made a big one early in the second half. As always, he worked hard and made some excellent interceptions, with his goal coming at the perfect time to settle the nerves a little.SubstitutesAlexis Mac Allister: 6 – Came on and it all started to fall apart, but might just be a coincidence.
