Two of Liverpool’s Premier League fixtures have been switched in February. The reigning champions were originally due to take on Manchester City on Saturday, February 7 with the game pencilled in as a 3pm kick-off at Anfield.
But the clash between Arne Slot’s side and their North West rivals is now confirmed for Sunday, February 8 at 4.30pm due to being broadcast live by Sky Sports. The Reds’ meeting with City could have implications for this season’s title race with just two points currently separating their visitors and leaders Arsenal at the summit.
A second match has also been selected for live TV coverage with TNT Sports showing Liverpool’s trip to Sunderland on Wednesday, February 11 at 8.15pm., If the club progresses to the FA Cup’s fourth round and fails to automatically qualify from the Champions League, they could face four games in the space of 10 days. Liverpool’s remaining fixtures in February, away to Nottingham Forest on February 21 and at home to West Ham on February 28, remain unchanged as 3pm kick-offs.
