Amongst those present was Ifeanyi Ndukwe, who has linked up with the Reds following an agreement finalised earlier this year to bring him from Austria Vienna in a transfer valued at an initial $3.5 million.



Ndukwe could leave on loan this summer to get some first-team experience.The 18 year old centre-back, who has already featured for Austria at U19 level and represented them in last year's U17 World Cup final defeat to Portugal, made his first-team bow for the Austrian club in May before receiving a heartfelt farewell prior to his Anfield switch.Liverpool have been actively strengthening their Academy ranks at both U21 and U18 levels in recent months.And they will shortly welcome another new centre-back with the acquisition of 16 year old Dara Jikiemi from Celtic, reports the Liverpool Echo.While the transfer hasn't been formally completed, it is understood to be a formality.Several recognisable faces rejoined the U21s on Monday, particularly Jayden Danns whose last season was ravaged by hamstring injuries, with former Liverpool boss Arne Slot having admitted the striker would otherwise have had minutes with the first team.Lewis Koumas, Calum Scanlon and Amara Nallo, who have each gained first-team experience with the Reds, were in attendance, alongside Calvin Ramsay.Also spotted in the gym were Kaide Gordon and Isaac Mabaya, both of whom missed significant portions of last season through serious injuries.Fifteen year old winger Josh Abe, who pledged his future to Liverpool despite attracting interest from several top clubs, was likewise pictured and may well be amongst the youngsters drafted into the first-team squad for their US tour later this month.A few of Liverpool's senior players returned to pre-season training this week to meet new head coach Andoni Iraola for the first time.There were only eight senior players there, however, due to the ongoing World Cup.Choose Liverpool.com as a 'Preferred Source' on Google News for quick access to the news you value.Liverpool FCLiverpool FC Pre-Season
