Here is the XI we think he will field to see out 2025. Liverpool’s absentee list is starting to pile up, but who will be the biggest miss against Wolves?

Use the comment button on the bottom left to have your say DefenceAlthough he would have felt Liverpool should have kept a third clean sheet on the bounce against Tottenham, Alisson Becker will feel more confident in the defence he has in front of him.In front of him, there will have to be a change at right-back due to Conor Bradley picking up an injury, with the Northern Irishman joining Joe Gomez on the list of absentees in this position. With Dominik Szoboszlai suspended too, Jeremie Frimpong has timed his return well, with the Dutchman expected to play there in this one and prove why he should be first choice. The two centre-backs will stay the same after a decent outing against Spurs, with Virgil van Dijk and Ibrahima Konate starting to get a real understanding between one another again. At left-back, Milos Kerkez will likely start as he has slowly been improving, with the Hungarian admitting he is enjoying Liverpool’s new system. However, this might have to go out the window due to injuries, suggesting he might struggle again in the one.MidfieldLiverpool’s midfield was a bit of an issue at points in the season, but Slot’s seems to have found a good balance, so it is unlikely he will change too much.Due to injuries, he might have to switch back to a 4-3-3 or 4-2-3-1, but against Wolves, it should not be too much of an issue.Ryan Gravenberch will be the deepest of the three, with Curtis Jones just in front of him, roaming like he has done so well in previous games. The final part of the trio will likely be Alexis Mac Allister, with the Argentine needing to prove a point after failing to hit the heights so far this season.Liverpool predicted XI vs WolvesAttackThe forward line is where the most change will occur, but for Reds fans, it should be an exciting one that they will have been waiting for. With Mohamed Salah away, Szoboszlai suspended and Alexander Isak injured, they are light of options, but that means Federico Chiesa should finally get the chance from the start.Liverpool fans have been begging for Chiesa to get more minutes, and even though it is due to absentees, Slot will have hopefully finally listened. On the left, Cody Gakpo might be fit in time, and if he is, it would be no surprise to see Slot pick him, but we think Florian Wirtz will get the nod after impressing again against Spurs. And finally, leading the line, Liverpool do not have much choice other than to go with Hugo Ekitike, although he is probably the first name on the teamsheet anyway at the moment. He has five goals in his last three games, a run he will be looking to continue when facing the team with the worst defence in the league.
