Chelsea head coach Enzo Maresca has received a one-match touchline ban following his sending-off in the Premier League clash against Liverpool on 4 October.

The Football Association confirmed Maresca admitted a misconduct charge related to his behavior during the match's sixth minute of stoppage time. His dismissal came after he exuberantly celebrated Chelsea’s winning goal.

In addition to the ban, Maresca was fined £8,000 (€9,200). The suspension means the Italian manager will be unable to be present on the touchline for Chelsea’s upcoming Premier League match away at Nottingham Forest on the following Saturday.

Maresca described his reaction as “instinctive” and acknowledged the red card, stating he believed “it was worth it.”
