But the afternoon was marred somewhat with Salah suffering what appeared to be a hamstring injury just before the hour mark.
Salah will leave the Reds at the end of the season, closing the curtains on an extraordinary nine-year career on Merseyside. But the injury suffered against Palace could bring a premature end to his season – starting with the trip to Manchester United next weekend where Salah has been so lethal over the years.
While Liverpool are still waiting to learn the extent of the issue, Arne Slot admitted the sight of Salah being unable to continue has him fearing the worst. ‘Another win and another injury,’ Slot told Sky Sports. ‘It’s the story of our season. ‘It’s too early to say but we all know Mo and how hard it is for him to leave the pitch. For Mo to leave the pitch, it shows you something but we have to wait and see how bad it is.’ Arrow MORE: Antoine Semenyo out of Man City squad as Pep Guardiola explains FA Cup selection Arrow MORE: Tottenham star mocked while stretchered off at Wolves after huge double injury blow Arrow MORE: Nicky Butt warns Manchester United over ‘phenomenal’ £70m transfer: ‘It’s a long shot’
