If Mohamed Salah does leave Liverpool in January he will not be short of interest, with suitors emerging in MLS including one who approached the Egyptian earlier this year. As it stands, Salah appears set to depart Liverpool in the next transfer window following a collapse in his relationship with Arne Slot.

According to The Athletic, MLS franchise Chicago Fire already made an offer to Salah before he signed a new two-year contract in April. Who could afford Mohamed Salah transfer?

It is, however, highly doubtful any side in MLS could afford the financial package Liverpool would surely demand for their No. By the time the January transfer window opens Salah’s contract alone will still be worth upwards of £30 million and any move would require a significant fee on top of that.
