Moises Caicedo joined Chelsea from Brighton & Hove Albion in August 2023 after a summer-long saga following late interest from LiverpoolMoises Caicedo has revealed that he has parted company with Manuel Sierra, the agent who helped orchestrate his move to Chelsea following a late bid from Liverpool, in a now-deleted statement on social media where he appeared to hit out at his former representatives. He scored a spectacular opening goal against the Reds as they lost 2-1 at Chelsea in the final match before the October international break, and has three goals from just seven Premier League outings so far this season. And such form has come despite a big change behind the scenes, as Caicedo took to social media on Monday to confirm he was no longer represented by Sierra in a now-deleted post on Instagram. His announcement read: "Chelsea Football Club star Moises Caicedo has separated from and is no longer represented by his former football agent Manuel Sierra of Football Division Worldwide and he is not represented by Ali Barat of Epic."The contract ended on August 14, 2025 and the player has now appointed people he can trust." The ECHO has approached Sierra for comment.Caicedo has made 107 appearances in total since joining Chelsea, and helped the club win both the FIFA Club World Cup and UEFA Conference League last season.

His efforts also saw him pick up the club’s Player of the Season and Players’ Player of the Season awards.Sierra has previously spoken about the Ecuadorian’s move to Stamford Bridge, and how they clinched his signature despite Liverpool’s own interest."Liverpool was always interested in Moi (Caicedo)," Sierra told Futbol sin Cassette in 2023. In the end, our side and the player's side were not a problem, but the problem was Brighton.“When they told us: 'You can go to Liverpool tomorrow'.

Well, our reaction was: 'Okay, but do you understand why?' So, that was the comedy."In other words, they told us to go for a medical examination with Liverpool without having an agreement, without giving the green light."Even [Jurgen] Klopp wrote to Moises with Brighton's permission and all, but Moises was clear all along, and we were clear all along that if Chelsea matched or offered the same conditions that Liverpool could with Brighton, as I said, they surpassed it. Well, with a more established and stable project than what Chelsea has today, which is a very ambitious project looking ahead to two years."So, when Liverpool comes and approaches you in that way, obviously Moises gets dizzy, I even get dizzy myself, and he says: 'Man, we must be doing something right, you know.'"But Chelsea was by our side all along, asking us, not for much time, they were asking for an hour, I mean, just an hour, so that Brighton could tell them the conditions to match the offer."As I said, they were given an hour, which turned into two days of negotiation.
