Now in its sixth year, the annual list has long served as one of football’s most respected barometers for identifying the next generation of superstars. Barcelona’s Pau Cubarsi (3rd), Real Madrid’s Franco Mastantuono (4th), and Arsenal’s Max Dowman (6th) also ranked ahead of the Liverpool winger.

He announced himself to the Premier League in emphatic fashion, coming off the bench on his top-flight debut against Newcastle United back in August and scoring a stunning stoppage-time winner in the 100th minute to seal a dramatic 3–2 away victory – making him the youngest goalscorer in Liverpool’s history. He also became the youngest Liverpool player ever to feature in the UEFA Champions League, making his debut in a 3–2 win over Atlético Madrid at just 17 years and 19 days old.
