Antoine Arnault, president of Ligue 1 outfit Paris FC, has explained his dream of eventually seeing Jurgen Klopp managing his side. Image Credits: Imago ImagesParis FC president Antoine Arnault is not your typical football club chairman. The 47-year-old is the son of Bernard Arnault – the French billionaire who built LVMH into the world’s largest luxury goods empire, home to brands like Louis Vuitton, Dior, and Moët & Chandon – and it was Antoine who led the charge to convince his father that buying a football club made sense. In November 2024, the family’s holding company Agache completed the acquisition of a majority stake in Ligue 2 side Paris FC, initially taking 52%, with that figure set to climb to around 80% by 2027.The Arnaults did not arrive alone.

What Red Bull brings instead is operational know-how, recruitment infrastructure, and, most prominently, one particular name: Jurgen Klopp. Now the club president, speaking on the After Foot podcast, has raved about the Klopp and has admitted that one day he would leave to see the Liverpool legend manage Paris FC:“Do I have a dream or fantasy of convincing him to return to the bench at Paris FC?”“Well of course, who doesn’t dream of having Jurgen and his sunny side and his footballing genius? If Paris FC reach Champions League [qualification], I would like to see him come coach the team.”For now, Arnault’s comments are more dream than plan.

With serious money, Red Bull expertise and Klopp already loosely in the orbit, this is clearly a project aiming far beyond mid-table mediocrity – even if the Liverpool icon remains a long-term fantasy for now. Jurgen Klopp Paris FC
