The Premier League has confirmed a change to Chelsea’s visit to Anfield in May. Image Credits: Imago Images With the Premier League title race entering its final furlong, fixture scheduling is becoming just as talked about as the football itself.
Liverpool’s home clash with Chelsea on Saturday, 9 May at Anfield was originally listed as a standard 3:00pm BST kick-off when the fixture list dropped back in June last year. However, due to broadcasting changes, the Anfield meeting will now instead be played at 12.30pm BST on Saturday May 9.
The two sides head into the encounter with plenty at stake – Liverpool sitting on 49 points and Chelsea just a point behind on 48, making this a potential six-pointer in the race for Champions League spots and beyond.
