Meanwhile, Strasbourg’s Ligue 1 game against Brest, initially set for April 12, has also been rescheduled to May 13 due to their involvement in the Conference League quarter-finals against Mainz. “At the request of Paris St-Germain and RC Strasbourg in order to prepare in the best conditions for their respective quarter-finals, the board of directors of the LFP has unanimously decided, apart from the clubs concerned, to postpone the matches,” the LFP said.
RC Lens have issued a statement in response to the decision to rearrange their Ligue 1 fixture against Paris Saint-Germain. It read: “While expressing its disagreement with the unanimous decision of the LFP Board of Directors to postpone the match against Paris Saint-Germain, RC Lens acknowledges it responsibly, reaffirms its determination to pursue its sporting objectives, and specifies that ticketing arrangements will be communicated individually by email to each supporter.” The decision is a blow for Liverpool, with PSG now set to have a clear schedule between both legs of the tie, while Arne Slot’s side face Fulham at Anfield in the middle of their European clash.
