Nnamdi Collins has become the latest Eintracht Frankfurt player to be linked with a move to Liverpool recently. It emerged last week that Nathaniel Brown could leave Eintracht Frankfurt for £56m and the Reds, along with Arsenal, were showing an interest in the player.Another report has since claimed Liverpool and the Gunners are leading the chase for Hugo Larsson, who, along with Brown, has previously played alongside Hugo Ekitike. But the links between the Merseyside outfit and Frankfurt are not stopping at Larsson and Brown, with Nnamdi Collins now also mooted.Liverpool target Nnamdi Collins has praised Virgil van DijkGraeme Bailey of TeamTalk says that Arsenal, Liverpool, Manchester City, Newcastle United, Brighton and Hove Albion, and Brentford have all made checks on CollinsHowever, due to the player being under contract in Germany until 2030, it is thought that it would require a significant offer to get Frankfurt to sell.Collins arrived at Frankfurt from Borussia Dortmund in 2023, playing alongside Ekitike before his sale to Liverpool.During his time with the club, he has primarily been used in centre-back and right-back roles. He has featured on 14 occasions in the middle of the backline this season, and has been used at full-back seven times.Given that both of those positions are problem areas for Liverpool right now, a move for the 22-year-old could be a good idea.It does appear as though the Premier League champions will face a lot of competition for the player. However, Liverpool may have one advantage in the form of Virgil van Dijk.In an interview with German outlet Kicker in September 2025, Collins praised Van Dijk and said he ‘can learn everything’ from the Reds captain. He stated: “I was rooting for Liverpool in the draw.
I can learn everything from him: his heading ability and timing, his calmness and physical presence, his aura.” Konate earns £70,000-a-week, Liverpool surely need to make a big offer for him to stay?! But honestly, that’s not playing a role in my thoughts at the moment. I feel very comfortable at Eintracht and am extremely excited about what lies ahead.”Join Our NewsletterReceive a digest of our best Liverpool content each week direct to your mailbox
