Vitezslav Jaros is recovering from the serious knee injury he suffered on loan at Ajax, while the club have high hopes for young Hungarian goalkeeper Armin Pecsi.”In turn, they may not be too keen to sanction a move to Spain after AS covered reports of Sevilla’s interest.The La Liga outfit are said to have added Pecsi to their shortlist ahead of a summer in which they plan to make changes to their goalkeeper ranks.Crucially, the report says that ‘Pecsi would arrive alongside another, more experienced goalkeeper.’Immediately, that suggests that the 21-year-old would be brought in as a backup option, which probably wouldn’t work for Liverpool if they were open to sanctioning a loan move.In terms of the Reds’ stance on a permanent transfer, it remains to be seen if they would be willing to go to the table. But given how highly rated the shot-stopper is, they may not be keen to move him on already.Speaking to BBC Sport back in June 2025, Hungarian football expert Bence Bocsak said that Pecsi was a ‘remarkable’ talent and described his move as a ‘really good deal for Liverpool.’He said: “You only have to look at the Golden Boy nominations to see how big a prospect he is.
It’s a no-brainer for Liverpool if you can bring in this level of talent.“When you look at his stats, he’s prevented 14.33 goals during the whole of last season – remarkable statistics for a goalkeeper.“If you can bring him in for this amount of money, it is a really good deal for Liverpool.“He’s still only 20 years old.
