So his loan move to Aston Villa made a whole lot of sense as he would be at a big club where he can shine in both the Premier League and Europe. This has not been the case, though, and he has even failed to make the squad on multiple occasions, with there being suggestions he could return to Liverpool after a nightmare first few months, but do Liverpool have a recall clause?Photo by Paul Harding – The FA/The FA via Getty ImagesLiverpool do not have a January recall clause for Harvey Elliott There has never been any denying Elliott’s talent, he was just not given enough chance to show it at Liverpool, leaving many to wonder why it has not worked out at Villa just yet.Not only is he not playing, but he is being left out of matchday squads entirely, suggesting Unai Emery really is not keen. This has led to many Liverpool fans calling for him to be recalled, and it makes sense why he would be, but according to The Athletic, the Reds do not have a recall option in his contract. The report states that an early exit for the 22-year-old seems very unlikely, with neither club indicating that they want to cancel the deal.As well as this, the transfer will only be made permanent if he makes 10 appearances for them in all competitions, with the Englishman already playing in six.READ MORE: Liverpool now need to loan out ‘phenomenal’ youngster Jurgen Klopp lovesLiverpool sources say that the final transfer fee would be £35m, while Villa sources say closer to £30m, although Villa might not be happy with that anymore given his current situation.
