Ryan Gravenberch‘s agent has said he “would love for” his client to play for Real Madrid, but he has admitted “now it is impossible.” While the Reds have won the last two encounters on the pitch with Real Madrid, the Spanish giants are still causing supporters to have sleepless nights over their transfer intentions. I know they’ve had their eye on him but now it’s impossible.” With Gravenberch’s performances over the last year attracting interest, Liverpool are keen to tie the Dutchman down for the long term.

When asked about his future prior to playing against Madrid, Gravenberch said: “Obviously I’m happy here, we have to see. “What I can tell you is that Liverpool are preparing discussions with his agent over a new contract,” Romano said on his Here We Go podcast.

“It is not something that is advanced at this stage, so Liverpool have not already prepared a contract agreement with Gravenberch.” There is currently no suggestion that Gravenberch is keen to leave, and with a contract that lasts until 2028, the cards are in Liverpool’s hands. Romano also said that a new deal for Dominik Szoboszlai is in the frame, adding: “Szoboszlai is out of contract in 2028 and Liverpool are also thinking about the possibility to discuss [a new contract] with his agents.
