Liverpool supporters will say goodbye to two legends of their club this Sunday as the curtain comes down for both Mohamed Salah and Andy Robertson at Anfield. The veterans will depart following the match against Brentford, and though Salah has whipped up some controversy with his veiled criticism of Arne Slot in the run-up to the game, both will receive a hero’s goodbye.Sadly, Salah and Robertson are highly unlikely to be the only players leaving Liverpool this summer, though, and while they will openly salute the Anfield crowd for a final time, six more players may unknowingly be about to leave as well. Which Liverpool players SHOULD be playing their last game for the club vs Brentford?

Should Arne Slot drop Mohamed Salah from the squad to face Brentford? 👀 A sour end could be in store… Photo by Michael Regan/Getty Images With only one year left on his contract, the 25-year-old does not appear likely to sign an extension, making a summer sale especially likely.Given his strong connection with the club, supporters will probably get a clue into where Jones’ head is at following the final whistle on Sunday.
Though he’s not usually an especially emotional person, there could be some tears as the Scouser realises his time with the club of his life is about to come to an end.Alexis Mac AllisterAnother one potentially moving on from Liverpool’s midfield at the end of the season is Alexis Mac Allister, who has been way below his best this term.Another who the Reds do not appear especially keen to hand a new contract to, Mac Allister is likely to attract interest, and could be sold if an offer arrives.Of the six on this list the Argentine is perhaps the least likely to leave, but that does not mean that his stay at Anfield is anything like secure.Federico ChiesaFinally, Liverpool’s attack will be revamped this summer following the exit of Salah and as Slot deals with the long-term injury to Hugo Ekitike. The Dutch coach will not want to lose much more firepower, but it feels inevitable that Federico Chiesa will be moved on regardless.Unable to convince Slot that he should be anything more than a bit-part player, Chiesa will probably return to Italy this summer in search of more playing time.As ever, there could be a shock or two on the cards and a surprise candidate to leave could emerge. But, for now, it would not raise too many eyebrows if any – or all – of these eight players depart Liverpool in the coming months.Join Our NewsletterReceive a digest of our best Liverpool content each week direct to your mailbox
