He revealed in an interview with Sky Sports that the coaching opportunity came unexpectedly through a friend.In 2025, Caulker joined Icelandic side Stjarnan, where he combined playing duties with a role as assistant coach, marking his transition from on-pitch leadership to the technical bench.Caulker, alongside head coach İlhan Palut are preparing Konyaspor for their Turkish Cup quarter-final clash against Fenerbahçe on Tuesday night.Konyaspor currently sit ninth in the Super Lig with 37 points from 30 matches this term. Last season, Konyaspor finished 11th with 46 points from 36 matches, recording 13 wins, seven draws, and 16 defeats.Caulker obtained his UEFA A coaching licence last year, 18 months after securing his B licence.
