Dominik Szoboszlai has signed a new long-term contract with Liverpool. Szoboszlai entered the final two years of his previous Anfield deal this summer and had regularly made no secret of a desire to see his stay at the club extended.
The Hungary international emerged as a key player for the Reds following his arrival from RB Leipzig in July 2023 as one of Jurgen Klopp’s final-ever signings. He was an integral figure in the team which won a 20th Premier League title under Arne Slot and has contributed 28 goals and 24 assists in 147 appearances to date.
Szoboszlai’s representatives had been locked in talks with the Reds’ hierarchy over several weeks after resuming negotiations at the end of the previous campaign. And the 25-year-old has now put pen to paper on improved terms which will see his future on Merseyside safeguarded until at least the end of June 2031.
