Liverpool youngster Trey Nyoni could potentially be edging closer to a loan move away in the January transfer window, according to a fresh claim. Nyoni made his Premier League debut for Liverpool in the 2-1 win away to Tottenham last time around, being introduced as a substitute deep into stoppage time.
According to TEAMtalk, Liverpool are “holding talks with a number of clubs” about a possible loan move for Nyoni in January, but it is stressed that the Reds are “yet to decide” whether to allow him to leave or not. Nyoni is a player with a bright future in the game, with Liverpool head coach Arne Slot speaking of his admiration for him last year, saying: “Trey did well, he was involved in the goal with a spot on pass between the lines and he was involved in our biggest chance in the second half.
But he’s only just turned 17 and his body still has to grow. He needs some time to grow to play at Premier League level but he’s an interesting player.” As mentioned, though, it is hard to see where minutes are going to regularly come Nyoni’s way for Liverpool this season, unless injuries strike down numerous midfielders.
