That disagreement continued when Anfield was discussed, with White stating it’s ‘the one’, but Cairney, speaking from the perspective of playing under that noise, now changing his mind. But now, overrated.’ But it’s not what Cairney said before…What’s interesting is that Cairney hasn’t always felt this way about Anfield, and he is clearly talking about recent experience. Last season, Arne Slot’s Liverpool beat Marco Silva’s Fulham 2-0 at Anfield, with Cairney being an unused substitute, and most recently, under new managers, they recorded a dull goalless draw, with Scotsman not even in the matchday squad.
