(Credit: Imago) Tottenham have been in talks over takeover deal – ‘I’ve been hearing about this’ Sun 28 December 2025 12:53, UK Tottenham could be put up for sale after it emerged that groups have been in talks over a takeover.That is according to ex-Everton, Aston Villa, and Aberdeen chief executive Keith Wyness, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, who is unsure whether Spurs‘ current ownership are committed to the club.Spurs’ owners have insisted the club are not for sale, following the departure of executive chairman Daniel Levy.Following his departure, Spurs announced they would conduct an accounting review into Levy’s tenure at the club.Tottenham make ‘dramatic change’Everton’s former chief Keith Wyness – who served as CEO at Goodison Park between 2004 and 2009 and now runs a football consultancy advising elite clubs – thinks the club have not had a plan following Levy’s departure.Speaking on the new edition of Football Insider‘s Inside Track podcast, Wyness has heard that groups have been in talks over agreeing a takeover deal.He told Football Insider‘s Inside Track podcast: “I’m not seeing dominant leadership from the Lewis family coming in. They’ve obviously made a very dramatic change with Daniel Levy, but it’s as though they made the change, but then they didn’t really have a big plan to make things, you know, a little bit different.
