Former Liverpool full-back Trent Alexander-Arnold and his current teammate Jude Bellingham have been notably absent from Real Madrid's 2026 calendar. It's believed that Bellingham played a significant role in convincing Alexander-Arnold to make the switch to the Bernabeu, a move that caused friction with Liverpool fans when he chose not to extend his contract at the end of the previous season.
Alexander-Arnold has been outspoken about his desire to win the Ballon d'Or - a dream Madrid looks unlikely to support. However, since his move to Spain, Alexander-Arnold has struggled to adapt to his new team as quickly as Bellingham managed to - thanks in part due to injuries.
Alexander-Arnold is also missing, although his omission could be due to the timing of his transfer from Liverpool. Huijsen's inclusion might be because he finalised his move in mid-May, slightly ahead of Alexander-Arnold.
