Liverpool are set to face Manchester City in their next Premier League clash on Sunday. Last season, Liverpool ran away with the Premier League title, but now, nobody knows how things are going to pan out, especially with the recent form Arne Slot’s men have been in.

However, even though Man City may not be the team they were a couple of years ago, the fact that they’re ahead of the Reds in the table says all you need to know about how difficult the game is going to be. And now, ahead of the clash, Rooney has shared how Liverpool could end up beating the Cityzens on Sunday.“You deny the space and that takes, you know, your midfield players, your wide men tucking in and being hard to play through and then playing on the counterattack,” he said on The Wayne Rooney Show.“I think that’s the best way to stop City at the minute, really, is if Liverpool go high press and Haaland will be licking his lips, looking and waiting for balls in behind.”Liverpool will need to be on top of their game against Manchester CityLiverpool may be in decent form at the moment, but that doesn’t mean that they’re definitely going to beat the Cityzens.

However, if they allow him to even have a slight chance of scoring, he’s bound to take it, and things could turn ugly for Liverpool in double quick time, which would be far from ideal.
