And two of those questions surround the form of Isak and Salah.READ MORE: Liverpool suffer injury blow as crucial star misses training before Frankfurt tripREAD MORE: Jamie Carragher shares how Liverpool can solve £320m problem and who Arne Slot must learn fromThe former is clearly still feeling the impact of a pre-season training alone as he attempted to force through his transfer to Liverpool from Newcastle United and so far has just one goal to his name from seven appearances for his new club. But with the Reds struggling, Rooney reckons Slot cannot give the Swede the time needed to find the devastating form he showed at Newcastle - especially given the impact made by fellow summer signing Hugo Ekitike."I wouldn't play Isak, he hasn't looked ready since coming from Newcastle," the former England international said on The Wayne Rooney Show."He hasn't trained, hasn't had a pre-season. While Newcastle were training he was probably sat at home on the phone to his agent for six hours a day trying to get a move."It's so difficult when you don't have a pre-season.

He might've done stuff by himself but he's paying the price of it."On performances, he doesn't deserve to be playing ahead of Ekitike."Salah, meanwhile, remains one of the first names on Reds head coach Slot's team sheet. I don't think Salah should start both of those games."He should always start at Anfield because Liverpool will be on top, around the edge of the box and more often than not he scores in those situations."But I do think in the away games and helping your full-back, I don't think Salah should be starting every game right now, certainly away from home, with the form he's in."Would he be okay with that?

I don't think Mo Salah's in any position to complain if he was left out of one of the next two away games."Salah has gone five games without a goal for the Reds and so far this season has just three in 11 outings. The modern-day club legend signed a new two-year contract at the back end of last season, when he broke the 30-goal barrier for the fifth time for Liverpool. But Rooney believes Salah could soon be on his way out of Anfield.Speaking on The Wayne Rooney Show, he said: "I just think Salah has played a lot of games over the last few years, and he's been the main man, and he's carried that pressure."And you're probably in the top five great Premier League players, in my opinion. I think it looked like it maybe caught up a little bit with him."It wouldn't surprise me if in January, or maybe next summer, if he does leave the club."But I've loved watching him, he’s such a fantastic player, but I think it's probably just caught up, cause it does."Watch Eintracht Frankfurt vs Liverpool on TNT SportsThis article contains affiliate links, we will receive a commission on any sales we generate from it.
