Mane’s camp are understood to be sounding out several elite clubs as they assess the next step for one of the Premier League’s standout young attackers, with Liverpool keen to position themselves near the front of the queue. The teenager has broken into the Wolves first team this season under manager Rob Edwards and made an immediate impact, registering four goal contributions in 12 Premier League starts and starting every league game since late December.
However, any hopes of a straightforward deal have been dampened by Wolves’ reported stance ahead of the summer. talkSPORT has revealed that Rob Edwards has told the Midlands club that Mane should not be allowed to leave despite growing interest from across the Premier League. Furthermore, it’s claimed that Edwards wants the teenager to help them gain promotion from the Championship next season in the admittedly likely chance they go down this year.
