Perhaps we will never know what would have happened had Yan Diomande given the green light to a move to Liverpool instead of joining Real Madrid this summer.However, given the way their summer recruitment eventually went, it seems plausible that Liverpool could actually have signed Diomande for the right wing and Bradley Barcola for the left. That may be bad news for Diomande, who may fall victim to Mourinho picking the players who he has already identified as his favourites. Diomande was being targeted for that role, and he could have made it his own straight away.It will be interesting to see if Liverpool retain interest in the Real Madrid man if he continues to underwhelm in Spain.
