Liverpool FC NewsTransfer NewsYan DiomandeLiverpool wants to sign 19-year-old Yan Diomande from RB Leipzig this summer, with the Ivory Coast winger impressing at the World Cup and valued at well over $100MYan Diomande and Joshua Kimmich during Ivory Coast vs Germany at the World Cup.(Image: Alexander Hassenstein/Getty Images)Yan Diomande appears to be a star in the making and after he made a big impression on his World Cup debut, he carried on where he left off against Germany.Andros Townsend, on ITV Sport's coverage of the game, described the Liverpool target as "impossible to stop". He stopped and stood Joshua Kimmich up — starting on the left wing in this match, rather than the right, as he did last time out — beating the experienced Bayern Munich man all ends up before firing in a dangerous low cross. The ball fell to Franck Kessie, who finished well and put Ivory Coast ahead, but the goal was mainly Diomande's doing, as he made beating his man — someone as good as Kimmich — look easy.It is understood that Liverpool has made clear to RB Leipzig that it would be willing to pay €100 million ($115 million/£85 million) for Diomande's services, even though he is only 19.There was more evidence here, though, as he took on Florian Wirtz's team, of why Leipzig is so keen to keep the teenage sensation.
Ideally, it would tie him down to a new deal.Amid interest from Liverpool and PSG, however, it remains to be seen if that is possible. If he carries on playing like this, the price tag is only likely to head in one direction.Choose Liverpool.com as a 'Preferred Source' on Google News for quick access to the news you value.Liverpool FCYan DiomandeTransfersFIFA World Cup
