He may end up at Anfield in the coming months.

Whether The Reds make a move for him remains to be seen, but what a signing he would be – especially, with the need for a new defender like Bremer rapidly growing at Anfield.

Coming up to 33, he cannot do what he is doing forever, especially with Liverpool often playing the best part of 60 games a season.

If the Reds are to go after a centre-back, then Bremer should be top of the shortlist.
