Feyenoord manager Arne Slot is a contender to replace Jurgen Klopp as Liverpool manager, talkSPORT understands.

He also scores highly on Liverpool's data-led approach to choosing Klopp's successor.

Slot was sought after by Tottenham before they appointed Ange Postecoglu last summer.

The Dutchman ruled himself out of the running to take over at Spurs where he ended up penning a new deal at De Kuip.

As talkSPORT reported on Monday, Sporting's Ruben Amorim is not viewed as a likely candidate to take over at Anfield when Klopp leaves this summer.

Wolves boss Gary O'Neil is also not in the running despite reports to the contrary.
