Liverpool were miles off it against Everton on Wednesday evening.
The Reds, quite simply, didn’t turn up in the Merseyside derby and they were sent away from Goodison Park off the back of a 2-0 loss and their title hopes up in smoke.
Jurgen Klopp won’t be getting the glorious send-off he deserves, and, as you can imagine, Liverpool supporters across the country are frustrated to say the least.
Speaking on Off the Ball, Mark Lawrenson has been discussing Liverpool’s loss to Everton, and he says that he was shocked by how poor one Liverpool player was in particular.

The pundit spoke about Konate’s performance against Everton, stating that he was shocked by how poor the Frenchman was.
“I was surprised by Konate last night because he does like a fight and it’s right up his street, but he seemed to wither and die a bit to be honest and it left Van Dijk holding the fort.
Van Dijk can’t hold the fort every single game he plays in,” Lawrenson said.
Lawrenson singled out Konate for criticism, but, in all honesty, you could pick holes in all 11 players’ performance at Goodison Park.

To say that the showing against Everton was gutless would be an understatement.
For some reason, the Reds just didn’t turn up against Everton, and they suffered for it as they’re now extremely unlikely to win the Premier League title this season.
The Jurgen Klopp era looks as though it’s going to end on an incredibly sour note, and this group of players need to buck their ideas up if they’re going to challenge next season under their next gaffer.
Ibrahima Konate certainly didn’t cover himself in glory against Everton on Wednesday evening.
