While nothing has been confirmed yet, a deal has been agreed between Liverpool and Feyenoord in terms of the compensation package for Slot.
While stressing that he has played no part in the selection process, the outgoing manager nonetheless endorsed the Feyenoord boss.
Speaking to Match of the Day after the West Ham draw, Klopp was once again asked about Slot, with the deal seemingly now agreed with Feyenoord.
He gave a fresh answer.
"If I don't know a manager personally I can only touch the subject from watching their team and the way they play football," Klopp said.
"Feyenoord are a really, really good football team, and he is definitely a really good manager.
Slot is thought to have come up after profiling well as a match for Klopp, with a record of overachievement.

There are people in place paid to make the right decisions in the manager search, and Liverpool has every reason to have faith in those people, not least Edwards.
