Arne Slot is the new name on Liverpool’s wish list.
Reports have revealed today that the 45-year-old, who is currently at the helm at Feyenoord in the Netherlands, is the frontrunner for the Anfield hot seat.
Fabrizio Romano then claimed that Liverpool have held a direct conversation with Slot over the job and have already scheduled another chat with him.
The Italian journalist has revealed that Slot is ‘keen’ on the Liverpool job, which is a big boost for the Reds.
Romano tweeted: “One more direct contact will take place soon between Arne Slot and Liverpool board to discuss more key points of the project.
“Slot, keen on Liverpool job and concrete option as he’s highly rated by #LFC.”
Arne Slot has been at Feyenoord since the summer of 2021, and he has done a phenomenal job there.
The 45-year-old led his side to the Eredivisie title last season and has also managed to win the Dutch Cup this time around.
The Dutchman is under contract at Feyenoord until the summer of 2026, which means Liverpool will have to pay a compensation fee if they want to get him.
