Graeme Souness was certainly not impressed with one Liverpool player during today’s defeat against Manchester United.
Jurgen Klopp watched his side forfeit their lead late in the game, and one route to silverware has now been chalked off in his final season at Liverpool.

When compared to his other successes at Anfield, the FA Cup hasn’t always been the most fruitful competition for Klopp.
Moreover, in truth it hasn’t always been his priority either, but it did feel as if he was trying to win it this year.
Klopp played a strong team at Old Trafford, even if he was still missing a few players from what would be his strongest eleven.
Both Dominik Szoboszlai and Mohamed Salah were back today, but neither quite looked at their sharpest just yet, which is understandable.
But it was Jarell Quansah at the back, substituting for Ibrahima Konate, who caused Graeme Souness concern.
Souness was watching the game for ITV Sport and found fault in Quansah’s role for Man United’s opening goal against Liverpool.
Souness was speaking about the goal at half-time and perhaps thought Quansah showed his experience when he was caught ball-watching.
He explained: “Liverpool give away a quick free-kick for the first goal, they need to stop them doing it.

“Quansah gets caught ball-watching, no attempt to cover [Alejandro] Garnacho.
United thoroughly deserved the goal at that point.”
And whilst Souness noticed Quansah switching off in that moment which led to United’s opener, his overall Liverpool display was positive.
A defence that conceded four goals perhaps didn’t play well but the 21-year-old still looked assured on the ball.
And via Sofascore, Quansah did complete 91% of his 103 passes, four of those being successful long balls.
Quansah did also win five duels, making three interceptions and six clearances.
So whilst the defender may have been disappointed with his role in the goal, he did show promise elsewhere.
Today will be a learning curve for all the young Liverpool players involved, who should only get better at this point.
That being said, Jurgen Klopp certainly made a beeline for Kobbie Mainoo today.
