Brentford manager Thomas Frank was reportedly under consideration by Liverpool to be the club's next manager.
The Reds are continuing to be linked with several potential candidates to be Jurgen Klopp's replacement this summer.
Klopp announced in January that he would be stepping down from his role as Liverpool manager at the end of the season.
In the months since the announcement, several names have emerged in the rumour mill about who could be Klopp's successor in the Anfield dugout.
It has been claimed that Frank has been "under consideration" by the Anfield hierarchy, which even led to the Reds holding talks with the Bees manager's representatives over the possibility of him taking charge this summer.

Frank has been in charge at Brentford since 2018 and guided the club to promotion to the Premier League three years later.
The Bees boss is now looking to guide the West London club to securing their top-flight status for what would be a fourth consecutive season.
Despite the rumours that Frank has been a contender for Liverpool, the ECHO understands that Arne Slot is now a leading candidate to be Klopp's successor.
