Jamie Carragher has delivered his verdict on Arne Slot becoming the next Liverpool manager.
The Reds have been on the lookout for a new boss for over three months now, and it looks like they’re finally about to land Jurgen Klopp‘s successor.
Reports revealed earlier this week that Slot is the frontrunner for the Liverpool job and that he is keen to leave Feyenoord and make the move to Anfield this summer.
It really does look like Slot is going to be the next Liverpool manager, which should be exciting if you’re a Reds fan.
However, Carragher seems a bit worried about the potential appointment.

Arne Slot, if he does become the new Liverpool manager, may find it difficult to fill Klopp’s shoes early on, and it will be interesting to see if FSG will give him the time he needs.
However, he is a bit worried that Slot will not be able to do that next season if he gets the job.
Carragher wrote in The Telegraph: “My overriding concern is this: does Slot move to England ready to take on Guardiola for the Premier League and Champions League?
“The new Liverpool manager must say from the outset he is here to win, not just compete.
It’s ludicrous to expect any manager to come into the Premier League and compete with Pep Guardiola for both, the Premier League and the Champions League.
