Liverpool’s Premier League title hopes look to have ended after a dismal defeat to Everton on Wednesday.
In truth, there was already little hope of the Reds overhauling both Arsenal and Man City to win a second league title under Jurgen Klopp.
But as the Gwladys Street gleefully sang throughout the second-half of their 2-0 win, Liverpool truly lost the league at Goodison Park.
Of course, that isn’t strictly true.
There’s no getting away from the fact that it was at Goodison where Liverpool’s dream finally went to die, though.
The result means that Klopp’s final season with the Reds will end with a solitary Carabao Cup win.

That would have provided supporters from across the city and beyond to come together to thank a manager who has transformed the club since his arrival in 2015.
But, it was not to be.
As a result, The Times have now shared how likely it is that a parade will be held in Jurgen’s honour anyway.
They claim that discussions have indeed been ‘ongoing’ with Liverpool City Council over a potential end-of-season celebration.
However, unless the Reds do somehow end up winning the league from here, there will reportedly be no parade.
