Having already been knocked back by Yan Diomande, Liverpool now looks as though it may have to move on from Bradley Barcola as Paris Saint-Germain deals another transfer blowBradley Barcola has been linked with a move to Liverpool this summer(Image: Getty Images)Liverpool may already have to move on from Bradley Barcola, with Paris Saint-Germain refusing to put the winger up for sale.Barcola is being tipped as the new frontrunner as the Reds search for a new winger to replace Mohamed Salah this summer, having been knocked back in their pursuit of Yan Diomande. The Ivory Coast star has decided he wants to move to PSG if he is to leave RB Leipzig this summer, despite Liverpool having already made its intentions clear to his current club that it would be willing to do a deal for around £115 million (€100M).With Diomande seemingly out of the picture, PSG now look to have dealt another blow to Liverpool in its search, with The Athletic reporting that Barcola is not for sale. It’s claimed that the European champions do not need to sell the 23-year-old, having agreed a huge deal with AC Milan for Goncalo Ramos to move to Italy in what is a club record fee for the Serie A giant.Barcola is said to be reluctant to sign a new contract in Paris, having fallen behind Desire Doue and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia in the pecking order, and is pushing for more starts. That comes as talkSPORT’s Alex Crook claims that the French international is “pushing” for an exit.Liverpool has already been knocked back by Yan Diomande(Image: Terence Lewis/Icon Sportswire via Getty Images)The Athletic though insists that PSG is not putting him up for sale, and in any case would be looking for more than the $154M (£116M) Manchester City is set to pay for Elliot Anderson, which is even more than the $148M (€130M) Leipzig is said to be holding out for with Diomande.Although PSG is not willing to sell Barcola, it is looking to offload more players, with Lee Kang-in and Randal Kolo Muani - who has been linked with Liverpool - free to leave the French champions.Liverpool may therefore have to move on to other alternatives, with four names having already been under consideration before Diomande decided against a move to Anfield.Get Liverpool's new 2026/27 home kitThis article contains affiliate links, we will receive a commission on any sales we generate from it.

If PSG is going to play hardball though, Liverpool can’t afford to hang around and see if it changes its stance later in the window. One area that is definitely in need of strengthening is the right wing, and we can say that with confidence before Andoni Iraola has even had the chance to work with his new squad.
Barcola may well push for an exit, but Liverpool can’t wait all summer again, especially if he’s going to be even more expensive than Diomande.
