Image Credits: Imago Images Earlier today, Rennes officially confirmed that soon-to-be Liverpool defender Jeremy Jacquet will undergo surgery for a shoulder issue sustained in Ligue 1 action at the beginning of February.



A statement from the Ligue 1 side read: “Jérémy Jacquet is set to undergo surgery. On the pitch against Lens on February 7th, Jérémy Jacquet was forced to leave the game early due to a left shoulder injury.

Now L’Equipe have reported that it can take between two-and-half to three months to recover from this kind of surgery: “It’s a big blow for the man who had wanted to finish the season with his training club, because he may not be able to play again in the red and black jersey before putting on the Reds’ jersey. Indeed, it would take two and a half to three months to return from this type of shoulder surgery,” reports Johan Rigaud.
