After a long spell on the sidelines, Jayden Danns took part in Liverpool training this week along with January signing Mor Talla Ndiaye.Still a teenager at the time, Danns was part of Liverpool’s 2024 League Cup-winning team under Jurgen Klopp. However, the versatile forward has been hampered by injury issues since helping the Reds clinch silverware. It has limited the 20-year-old to just 10 senior appearances, in which he has scored 10 goals, but he’s now on his way back to fitness. So, he’s always fighting himself back after setbacks and he has, unfortunately, had quite a lot because this would have been a great moment for him with Alexander Isak being out and the quality he has, that he could have been with us and helped us in certain moments.“But unfortunately for him, but also for us, he’s faced a lot of injuries in his career until now. But the good thing about him is that he will fight back and come back and the world will get to know him the moment he’s fit again.”However, given Liverpool should have Hugo Ekitike and Alexander Isak both fit come the start of 2026/27, it may be best if Danns is loaned out next season in order to gain more senior experience.Of course, that will depend on him staying fit after what has been a really bad run of luck with injuries.Join Our NewsletterReceive a digest of our best Liverpool content each week direct to your mailbox
