Mohamed Salah will leave Liverpool in the summer of 2026, and multiple destinations have been mooted for the winger.Just this week, the Saudi Pro League links to Salah have reemerged once more, with Al-Hilal and Al-Ittihad mooted as the most likely destinations in the Middle East. However, it is now claimed that the 33-year-old has suitors in Turkey, with Fenerbahce making a contract offer. Which Liverpool legend will you miss more: Mohamed Salah or Virgil van Dijk?

Two of the greats came up with the heroics against Everton, but nothing lasts forever… ☹️ Photo by Gareth Copley/Getty Images Fenerbahce make offer for Mohamed SalahFenerbahce are no strangers to signing former big-name Premier League talent, already having ex-Manchester City goalkeeper Ederson and former Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante on their books. Now, Turkish outlet Sabah have detailed their interest in making a move for the Liverpool legend this summer. They claim that Salah has been offered an annual salary of €20m, which works out at around €384,000-a-week, slightly less than his current wage of £400,000-a-week at Anfield. It is also stated that ‘Fenerbahce made the highest offer from European clubs for Mohamed Salah’.Whether the forward would accept those terms or decide he wants to play in Turkey remains to be seen, but if he does, there is a chance he will be going head-to-head with Virgil van Dijk next season.Like Salah, Van Dijk was part of the dominant era under Jurgen Klopp, but he is now 34 (35 in July) and coming to the end of his time at the very top level. “Aware that this will be his last important contract signing, the Dutch player will be approached by Galatasaray shortly. President Dursun Özbek will personally be closely involved in the transfer.”It’s probably unlikely, but if both Turkish clubs get their transfer wishes, Van Dijk and Salah could be competing at the top of the Super Lig come 2026/27.Join Our NewsletterReceive a digest of our best Liverpool content each week direct to your mailbox
