James McConnell is still around, but the 22-year-old has had a poor pre-season and there have been talk of a loan move to the Championship.Wataru Endo will also be eyeing more game time, and fans should not overlook the prospect of him playing a bigger role under Iraola, but the Japanese has so far been used as an auxiliary centre-back by the new head coach, and does not feel like he has loads to give in midfield.There is a fairly good argument that Liverpool would have to replace Jones anyway, even without Bajcetic leaving as well.
The 21-year-old also going would just cement the feeling that something more has to come in to bolster the numbers.Who could Liverpool sign?
