The club have offered new contracts to winger Fred Onyedinma and goalkeeper Will Norris.Onyedinma scored 10 goals in 48 appearances as Wycombe finished 11th in League One under manager Michael Duff, having rejoined from Luton Town in 2024. The club are also in talks with Andre Vidigal over a new deal after his loan move from Stoke City in January.Meanwhile, goalkeepers Shamal George (loan at St Mirren FC) and Laurie Shala, along with defender Fin Back, have been released.Former Liverpool goalkeeper George racked up just five appearances for Wycombe Wanderers.
George also had a loan spell at Carlisle United FC during the 2017/18 season, where he made seven appearances under manager Keith Curle.A club statement read: “Wycombe Wanderers can now confirm its retained list following the conclusion of the 2025/26 campaign.“The club has made new contract offers to Will Norris and Fred Onyedinma, and remain in discussions with Andre Vidigal regarding a new deal.“Fin Back, Shamal George and Laurie Shala leave the club this summer at the end of their contracts, while loan players Luke Harris, Niall Huggins, Nathan Lowe and Cauley Woodrow have all returned to their parent clubs, and we thank them for their efforts during their time at Adams Park.”Shamal George spent over a decade in the youth system at Liverpool before being released at the age of 21 in the summer of 2020.A regular at Under-18 and Under-21 level, he trained with the first team during the tenure of manager Jurgen Klopp but never made a competitive senior appearance. He is perhaps best remembered by some supporters for a pre-season cameo against Huddersfield Town in July 2016, when he was introduced as an emergency outfield option. After no outfield substitutes remained following an injury to midfielder Lucas Leiva, Klopp brought on the then-18-year-old to play in attack alongside Danny Ings.Having had loan spells at Carlisle United FC, Tranmere Rovers and non-league side Marine AFC during his time at Liverpool, Shamal George joined Colchester United FC on a permanent deal in 2020.After winning the club’s Player of the Year award in the 2021/22 season, he moved on to Scottish Premiership side Livingston FC. George later returned to England, signing a two-year deal with Wycombe Wanderers in August 2024.We can now confirm our retained list following the conclusion of the 2025/26 campaign 👇 pic.twitter.com/fwqUEm8grv— Wycombe Wanderers (@wwfcofficial) May 12, 2026 Shamal George Wycombe Wanderers
