Now, a report in Spain has gone a step further, claiming the romance has already moved into agreement territory. Spanish outlet Okdiario reports that Alonso already has a “verbal agreement” in place for him to become Liverpool head coach.
After a short and ultimately ill‑fated spell in charge at the Bernabéu, which ended with a Supercopa defeat to Barcelona, Okdiario now state Alonso has set his sights firmly on Anfield as the next step in his career and already has a verbal deal in place to lead Liverpool for the next three seasons. Fabrizio Romano has also reported that Alonso is looking to step into a manager job of his choice “as soon as possible”.
