Liverpool remain locked in talks with RB Leipzig over winger Yan Diomande, who they are ready to make their big-money summer signingLiverpool transfer target Yan Diomande says he is simply looking to continue his "amazing year" by starring for Ivory Coast at the World Cup, which continues for his international side on Saturday against Germany. The Reds have been locked in talks with RB Leipzig over Diomande in recent weeks and stepped up their interest this week by making it known they are ready to commit to a package worth up to £86m for the 19-year-old.Leipzig, however, are determined not to sell the Ivory Coast winger, who they signed from Leganes last year, and want to tie down to a new deal which that likely include a release clause. The Bundesliga outfit may be tempted to cash in if the offer reaches closer to £112m, however, but Diomande is adamant he is not focused on speculation over his future right now.The attacker, though, did name-check Florian Wirtz as the potential difference-maker for Germany when two countries come face to face in Toronto over the weekend.Speaking at a press conference to preview the game, Diomande said: "It's a dream. I'm grateful for everything that's happening to me and I'm just going to continue to give my best on the pitch."When you play in Germany, you quickly see that everything there is very structured.
Germany is a very strong team; they never give up and fight until the end. Players like that can change a game with a single action."Emerse Fae, the head of coach of Ivory Coast, says all focus inside the camp is on the task at hand at the World Cup rather than club dealings and transfer speculation."We are in the bubble of the national team," Fae said.
"I don't want to talk about transfer situations or players' personal files."Meanwhile, Bayern Munich's Joshua Kimmich, who is expected to start the Group E clash on Saturday, said of Diomande: "A year ago, hardly anyone knew him."He’s had an outstanding season, even though RB Leipzig had a few problems. They have spectacular attacking players.”FOLLOW OUR LIVERPOOL FC FACEBOOK PAGE!
