Jurgen Klopp claims a face-to-face talk with Mohamed Salah has resolved their touchline spat at the London Stadium.

The Liverpool winger and his manager exchanged angry words in the 2-2 draw with West Ham which effectively ended the Reds' Premier League title bid.

Tension between Salah and Klopp may already have been simmering after the Egyptian was left out of Saturday's starting XI.

And when Salah wasn't brought on until the 82nd minute, a row erupted between the pair.

Whatever Klopp said to his top scorer immediately before the substitution was made evidently didn't go down well, as Salah snapped back with angry words and flailing arms.

He told TNT Sports: "We spoke already in the dressing room, and for me, that's done."

Salah may not have felt the same way as, when he walked through the mixed zone after the match, he said: "If I speak, there will be fire." He and Nunez were both dropped by Klopp after performing poorly in Wednesday night's costly defeat at local rivals Everton.

The revamped attacking trio of Harvey Elliott, Cody Gakpo and Luis Diaz created plenty of chances against the Hammers but proved too wasteful to clinch all three points.

Jarrod Bowen put the hosts ahead with a measured header just before the interval, before Liverpool surged ahead in the second half thanks to Andrew Robertson's snapshot and an Alphonse Areola own goal.

With a quarter of an hour to play, the Reds looked to be on the verge of a precious win, which was the minimum they needed to remain in the title race with Arsenal and Manchester City.

Everybody would see it the same way: there was actually only one possible team that wins the game and that's us, with the chances we had, with all the things we did.

"It was a tough one at the end of a busy period, really tough.

In a lot of it we played really well but we didn't take our chances in the final situations.
