Liverpool plays Fulham later this weekend and some interesting claims have emerged in the meantime involving some potentially departing players this summer and some more on Niko Kova?.

Here's your round-up of the latest Liverpool news.

Liverpool 'has spoken to Niko Kova?'

Earlier this week, it emerged via the Daily Mail that Liverpool was considering a surprise move for former Bayern Munich boss Niko Kova? ahead of the summer.

With Jürgen Klopp set to depart after the next six games, Michael Edwards is on the hunt for a successor.

Writing for Caught Offside, BILD chief football writer Christian Falk has explained that Liverpool did speak with Kova?'s representatives but he is far from a top candidate for the role.

The 52-year-old is said to be on an 'extended list' of people who could be turned to, though it would take a lot of others to be unavailable for anything to come of the interest.

Sporting CP head coach Rúben Amorim appears to be the frontrunner at the moment but Liverpool insists that nothing has been decided yet.

Xabi Alonso has previously ruled himself out of the running for the Liverpool job by committing to Bayer Leverkusen and links with Roberto De Zerbi have been played down.

Three Liverpool players could follow Jürgen Klopp in leaving

As well as Klopp leaving, Liverpool has decided to let Joël Matip, Thiago Alcântara and Adrián go this summer, Football Insider reports.

Thiago has barely played this season but Stefan Baj?eti? will essentially be another option next season and Bobby Clark and Ryan Gravenberch will be hopeful of getting more minutes as well.

Before Liverpool can make any permanent decisions on who might be coming in during the summer transfer market, it will need to establish who its next manager is going to be.
