Following his limping off during Scotland’s 1-0 loss to Northern Ireland in the first half due to an apparent injury, Andy Robertson was the most recent Liverpool victim of the international break.
Despite Jurgen Klopp’s pleas for international managers to take care of the Liverpool players, the 30-year-old came to Merseyside nursing an ankle injury.
The October shoulder injury the left-back suffered while serving for the international team had already cost him a significant amount of time earlier in the season.
However, it seems that Jurgen Klopp has finally been afforded a break in regard to injuries.
The Athletic’s James Pearce has reported:
“Andy Robertson is set to be sidelined for days rather than weeks, as he avoided any serious injury to his ankle.”
It then comes as a huge boost for Robertson and Liverpool, with the Scotsman recently only getting to 100% following the aforementioned shoulder injury.
With Curtis Jones standing a chance to feature against Brighton on Sunday, perhaps the injury crisis is at last starting to let up for Jurgen Klopp and his squad.
