The third-round draw for the 2026/27 Carabao Cup has been completed as the Premier League's European clubs enter the competition. The Premier League's eight Champions League and Europa League sides were barred from playing each other under the new format.

Despite that, Manchester United have still been handed a tough tie at home to Brighton & Hove Albion, who knocked them out of the FA Cup at Old Trafford last season. That was one of four confirmed all-Premier League ties, with Liverpool's clash with Tottenham the headline contest of the round. The Reds have not lost to Spurs at Anfield in any competition since May 2011, and have knocked the north Londoners out of the League Cup on home soil twice since then.

Those involved in Europe will play their matches in the former, with the Champions League league phase beginning September 8-10. Arsenal, Man City, Man United, Aston Villa and Liverpool have all qualified. The Europa League league phase starts the following week, September 16-17, with Conference League winners Crystal Palace, Bournemouth and Sunderland representing England in UEFA's second-tier competition this season.Carabao Cup third round draw in fullCrystal Palace vs MiddlesbroughManchester United vs Brighton & Hove AlbionSunderland vs Hull CityIpswich Town vs ArsenalCoventry City vs Aston VillaBournemouth vs Lincoln CityChelsea or Luton Town vs Leeds UnitedMillwall vs Newcastle UnitedFleetwood Town vs Sheffield UnitedEverton vs WolvesLeyton Orient vs Bradford CityReading vs BrentfordPeterborough United vs BarnsleyWest Ham vs Fulham or Wimbledon
